Last Minute Christmas Gifts to Give Yourself

Hey, it’s Xmas tomorrow, so what did you get for your loved ones? No, a more important question is what did you give yourself? If the answer is nothing, now is the time to change that as it’s practically the last day before this joyous holiday. It’s always good to be a little selfish and it will do you good to think about yourself from time to time, and Xmas is the perfect holiday for this. You definitely deserve the best, and if you’re not going to gift yourself a nice Xmas present, who will? If you still haven’t gotten anything for the most important person in your life (AKA you), these are just some of the ideas. Take a look.
Book a flight somewhere

One of the best gifts that you can give anyone, including you, is a trip somewhere far, exotic, or to a place you’ve wanted to visit for so long. First of all, solo travel is becoming more and more popular so choosing to travel alone to a distant destination is not a bad idea. Secondly, you don’t have to travel this very instant, but you can book the tickets and the accommodation now so that you have everything ready when the time comes. If you hurry up and choose spring or summer for your trip, you might even save some bucks as the tickets can be a bit cheaper if the day of the flight is not very close.
Get yourself new clothes

We are all fashionistas, liking it or not. So getting a new piece of clothing might be a great idea. Sure, you won’t get the gift until Christmas, but the actual process of ordering jeans from the best jeans shop online such as Mavi, for example, is enough to make you happy. Just think of a garment that you’ve wanted for quite some time, and click that “purchase” button on your screen – if not now then when?
Pay for a new hobby
Do you have a hobby? Has the previous year passed without you indulging in any other activity then going to work and coming home? Bear in mind that Netflix and chilling is also a great hobby, but if you want to change it, spice up your life a bit or want to take up a new hobby, this is the time to do so. Think carefully about what you want to do in your free time and get yourself that. If that’s pottery, you can get yourself pottery classes starting January. If you want to play a certain musical instrument, now is the perfect time.
Book yourself a spa day

2018 has probably been quite stressful for you as well, so it could be quite symbolic to give yourself something to help you relax and finish this year in the best possible, and the most relaxing way. This is also a great idea for everyone whose budget is tight due to the holidays – but all of us have enough in our pockets to book a spa day or a massage. Not only will you be completely enjoying this gift, but it can help you feel better, improve your mood and give your muscles that reboot that they’ve longed for.
Get yourself a gym membership
If the hobby that you want to take up should be a bit more active than pottery or playing an instrument, or you perhaps want to start going to the gym in 2019, you can always opt for getting yourself a gym membership. Yes, it’s always difficult to start being active in the gym, especially if you’re not a sporty person, but paying for something in advance can serve as great motivation as you will not want for the money you’ve spent to go to waste. The best idea would be to buy a 3-months gym membership and see if you’re actually going to be diligent enough to hit the gym two or three times a week.
Make your home a bit greener

Not all of us have a green thumb, and if this is the case with you as well, it would be an amazing idea to green up your living space just a bit. Unless you know how to properly take care of flowers and plants, you can always choose succulents. These are very user friendly, and more importantly, they look amazing anywhere in the living room. Just make sure they are placed somewhere where they can get plenty of sunlight, water them once in a while and you’re good to go.
To sum up – you deserve that Christmas gift from yourself! Perhaps you won’t get it until Christmas, but the fact that you actually bought something for yourself will serve as the present until you get it – simply print the order confirmation or the receipt and leave it for yourself under the Xmas tree!
