Kickoff #NYFW: Malan Breton SS17 & Laced Liquid Los Angeles

New York Fashion Week or #NYFW as the millennials like to say is finally under way. I was lucky enough to have access to see two collections that will appear in the Spring and Summer of 2017.
Fashion designer Malan Breton’s Spring Summer 2017 Collection Sanxiantai was none other than breathtaking. The Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City was overtaken by traditional Taiwanese elements that showcased silk prints, bright yellows, and ethereal stitchings. Giving a preview of the collection, Breton split the Severance show into two segments. Thus bridging a perfect mixture of traditional Taiwan and modern inspirations. When it came time for Breton to take his bow, is it wrong that I wanted the show to end? Who knows, but I walked outside back to the streets of New York city, satisfied from a quick-lush filled Taiwanese escape.

I also found my way to Brooklyn on the same day to check out the Laced Liquid Los Angeles Collection. One word, chokers. My favorite part of the collection and the first thing I spotted in the sea of chunky, glamorous and bold jewels. Since chokers are back in Laced Liquid gives a new meaning to getting dressed. From the black velvet to soft pink lace to the gold and sapphire blue chokers, I was obsessed. I also managed to check out their new collection of clothes that were up for grabs (because of course there was a pop-shop). Check out some of the pieces I fell in love with at the #LacedLiquidLA Pop-Up Shop at #NYFW.
